PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – ATB Financial and PGA TOUR Americas are pleased to announce a four-year extension of ATB’s title sponsorship of the ATB Classic, the annual Alberta-based stop on PGA TOUR Americas.
“At ATB, we believe in creating opportunities that bring communities together and inspire excellence,” said Curtis Stange, president and CEO of ATB Financial. “The ATB Classic is a celebration of sport and community, and we are proud to be part of its continued growth here in Alberta.”
In addition to the extension, the parties are proud to announce a return to the Edmonton-Calgary hosting rotation. A four-year hosting agreement will see the tournament alternate between two of Alberta’s premier golf venues. The 2026 and 2028 tournaments will be held at Blackhawk Golf Club in Edmonton, while the 2027 and 2029 editions will take place at Mickelson National Golf Club in Calgary. This partnership ensures a world-class experience for players, fans and sponsors, showcasing two of Canada’s finest championship courses.
“Blackhawk Golf Club is proud to be part of the future of the ATB Classic,” said Allan Prokop, founder and managing partner at Blackhawk Golf Club. “We are honoured to host the ATB Classic in the fall of 2026 and 2028. Our team looks forward to providing an exceptional experience for players and fans and showcasing Blackhawk on this stage.”
Barry Ehlert, founder and president of Mickelson National Golf Club, added: “As one of the top 20 golf courses in the country in our inaugural season, we are honoured to be hosting some of the best golfers in the world on our course in fall 2027 and 2029. It’s a tremendous opportunity to showcase our facilities and the passion for golf in our community.”
Past participants in the ATB Classic include PGA TOUR winners Taylor Pendrith, Corey Conners and Jake Knapp, and in 2025, second-year pro Michael Brennan tallied his third victory of the season at the ATB Classic en route to finishing No. 1 on the season-long Fortinet Cup points list.
Scott Pritchard, vice president of PGA TOUR Americas, said: “The ATB Classic has been a staple on PGA TOUR Canada, and now PGA TOUR Americas, for two decades, and we’re proud to extend our great partnership with ATB Financial. Blackhawk Golf Club and Mickelson National Golf Club will be excellent tests as golf’s future stars compete and look to advance to the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR.”
The 2026 ATB Classic will be held Sept. 14-20 at Blackhawk Golf Club.
