Grew up in Wiltshire, England, which is best known as the home of Stonehenge.
Played rugby and soccer and didn't pick up golf until the age of 12.
Longtime member of Bowood (joined in 2005) in Wiltshire, England in 2005. The club features an 18-hole PGA Official Golf Course designed by Dave Thomas, as well as a PGA Golf Academy. Thomas was best known for playing in four Ryder Cups (1959, 1963, 1965, 1967) and his runner-up finishes at the 1958 and 1966 Open Championships. In a DP World Tour release acknowledging his passing in August 2013, it recognized Thomas as "a renowned designer of more than 100 courses."

Amateur Highlights
Represented Great Britain & Ireland at the 2013 Walker Cup; his teammates included fellow Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick. Team GBI lost to an American team led by Max Homa, Michael Kim, Patrick Rodgers, and Justin Thomas.
Represented England at the 2014 European Amateur Team Championship, where England fell to Ireland in the semifinals.
